MerchDays to be part of Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound 2018

MerchDays, the meeting place for the entertainment merchandising sector, will be held for the first time within the framework of next year`s Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt.

MerchDays, the meeting place for the entertainment merchandising sector, will be held for the first time within the framework of next year`s Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt. In cooperation with Aka Merch & Textil GmbH, the organisers of MerchDays, Messe Frankfurt will integrate the forum for the merchandising sector into its trade-fair duo for musical instruments and event technology. Thus, merchandising and fan-article suppliers will present their products and services in the Galleria 1 on the Thursday and Friday of the fairs, 12 and 13 April 2018. MerchDays will be open to all visitors of Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound free of charge. Most recently, the two-day event was held concurrently with the c/o pop Convention in Cologne in August, this year.

“The integration of MerchDays expands the range of products and themes covered by Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound and will give visitors from the music, event and entertainment sector the chance to find out about the latest trends in the merchandising sector – from textiles, electronics and lifestyle articles to technologies for finishing, logistics and e-commerce. We are looking forward to welcoming numerous merchandising decision makers and specialists to our trade-fair duo”, says Michael Biwer, Group Show Director of the `Entertainment, Media & Creative Industries` Business Unit of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH.

Background information MerchDays
Next event: 12 to 13 April 2018
MerchDays are the meeting place for entertainment merchandiser from the music, film and games market. Organised by the Cologne-based Aka Merch & Textil GmbH, an event-management and consulting company, they were first held in Cologne in 2016. In 2017, 50 companies and brands presented their products and services for the fan-article and merchandising segments. In addition to the 350 guests who came especially for the merchandisers` meeting, the two-day event also attracted numerous participants from the concurrent c/o pop Convention in `Börsensaal` of IHK Köln.
