Important information about the fair preparation

Below you will find important information for your trade fair preparation.

Set-up

Set-up and Dismantling at Musikmesse

The regular set-up for Musikmesse 2020 will start on 28 March until 31 March 2020 and is free of charge.

Due to carpet laying in the aisles, set-up on the 31 March up from 3 p.m. on can be continued inside the stands only. Please keep aisles free.

If you wish an advanced set-up it is possible from 26 to 27 March 2020. Please give us a note via our Shop for Exhibitor Services.

Dismantling

The regular dismantling starts on 4 April 2020 until 6 April 2020 24.00 hrs.

Please note: Dismantling on 4 April 2020 from 6 p.m. until 9.p.m inside the stands only, due to carpet removal in the aisles and delivery of empties by the freight forwarders. The entrance of trailers is possible after 9 p.m..

Here you can find all important information about the new Messe Frankfurt check-in system. To ensure your set-up resp. dismantling activities can run as smoothly as possible, all vehicles accessing the fairgrounds will need to be registered by you.

Arrival and stay

The Frankfurt exhibition grounds are located at the heart of Europe and in the centre of Germany. Messe Frankfurt’s central location offers the best international transportation links, allowing it to be reached quickly and easily from anywhere by air, rail and road.

Cash sales

Musikmesse is a trade fair as defined in § 64 of the German Industrial Code (Gewerbeordnung) and has been formally registered as such. The main focus of a trade fair such as Musikmesse is the “exhibiting of samples and / or marketing by means of samples”, thus serving as an industrial business platform for a trade and professional public.

Since we, as organisers, are of course aware that, for many exhibitors in certain product groups, cash sales represent an essential and indispensable sales instrument in the context of their attendance at the show, we do allow cash sales under the following conditions:

  • Cash sales are only permitted for the product sub-groups in the ‘sheet music’ section.
  • The process involved in any cash sale must be conducted in such a way as not to compromise the trade fair’s essential purpose as a marketing event for acquiring new customers and new business, for refreshing business contacts and exchanging information. Any impression of a “consumer market place” is to be avoided.
  • Any contravention of these restrictive conditions may result in the termination, without notice, of the contract of participation and thus to exclusion from the event.

If you are an exhibitor, who is potentially eligible for dispensation in respect of cash sales, then you will receive from us a personally addressed communication at an appropriate time, including a formal personal undertaking for you to sign. As soon as we have your written personal undertaking, in which you will have agreed to abide by the conditions outlined above, you will be free to engage in successful cash sales at Musikmesse.
