Musikmesse in Frankfurt is the international trade fair for musical instruments, sheet music, music production and marketing. Here are the facts and figures about the Musikmesse.
++ Musikmesse 2020 postponed ++
Musikmesse, Musikmesse Plaza 2020 and Musikmesse Festival events with more than 1,000 attendees cancelled Consequent on a general degree issued by the Hessian Ministry for Social Affairs and Integration, it is no longer possible to hold the ‘Musikmesse Plaza’ (3 and 4 April) or any concerts of the ‘Musikmesse Festival’ (31 March to 4 April) with over 1,000 visitors against the background of the rapid spread of SARS-CoV-2 infections. As it cannot be expected that the situation will change soon enough to schedule an adequate catch-up event, the organisers announce that the international trade show Musikmesse will not take place in 2020. The new dates for Musikmesse 2021 will be announced soon.

This is Musikmesse 2020
Connecting – everything that drives the music scene and music business!
For 40 years, Musikmesse has been the sector’s get-together and a source of impulses for active music making. The spectrum on show ranges from instruments, accessories and sheet music, via workshops and offers in the fields of music education, music business and music marketing, to concert highlights. On Wednesday and Thursday, the focus is on trade visitors – on Friday and Saturday, the spotlight shifts to private visitors and consumers.
Central – at the gateway to the world!
Frankfurt is home to one of the world’s most important aviation hubs and is also served by excellent road and rail links. From Frankfurt Airport, it is just 20 minutes to the Exhibition Centre. And there is a choice of over 10,000 hotel rooms within walking distance. Every year, people from over 130 different countries attend Musikmesse and the concurrent Prolight + Sound – last time, more than half of all trade visitors came from outside Germany.
Cost conscious – with a reduced price per m²!
Musikmesse has cut its prices so you can profit from a saving of up to 33 percent per square metre compared to 2019. Moreover, there are thrifty complete stand offers, e.g., our Nano Package gives you an all-inclusive 4 m² stand for just EUR 1,000 EUR (plus VAT).
Individual – the right setting for your brand!
There are lots of ways to take part. Join us in awakening emotions! Spotlight your brand and your artists in workshops, showcases and concerts – not only at the Exhibition Centre but also in Frankfurt’s clubs as part of the Musikmesse Festival. Are you only interested in reaching trade buyers? With our ‘Networking Package’, you can participate in the Networking Area with very little effort – the perfect location for business discussions in a peaceful atmosphere!
Forward looking – tomorrows’ customers in view!
More than ever before, Musikmesse is becoming a driving force for musical education: with a targeted seminar programme for teachers and an outstanding presentation area for associations and music academies. The Music4Kids area offers groups of children from kindergartens and primary schools a wonderful opportunity to take their first steps into the world of music. Present your company as a promotor of active music making and support the project with your products!
Impressive – a presentation with a lasting impact!
Many hundreds of journalists and key communicators attend the event and ensure it attracts a lot of attention. Would you like to present your themes or innovations at a press conference? We will be pleased to help you with the organisation. And, even before the doors open, we show selected new products on our social-media channels.
Efficient – direct sales at Musikmesse Plaza!
Following its successful première, Musikmesse Plaza is back again: the pop-up market for gear, lifestyle and entertainment will open for all music lovers during the public days (3 and 4 April). There, you can sell instruments, accessories and other products directly to visitors – either in addition to your Musikmesse presentation or as a stand-alone solution.
