At the Drum Camp, you can join the live performances of world-famous drummers at first hand. In the spotlight of the camp is the ‘Blood, Sweat and Tears Box’: in the sound-proof cabin, you get closer to top musicians than at any concert. Stars of the scene are performing on their original instruments and setups every day.
After their demonstrations of their skills, the drummers will answer to questions e.g. concerning techniques, as well as they are available for photos and autographs.

At the Drum College, workshops and master classes are given daily by renowned musicians in separate seminar rooms. There, they demonstrate their polished playing techniques, give practical tips and explain how you can do a better performance on your instrument.

German television viewers know Felix Lehrmann primarily as the drummer of the studio band of ‘Neo Magazin Royale’ late-night show with Jan Böhmermann. He is also in demand as a session drummer and has played on recordings by hip-hop artists such as Dendemann, Samy Deluxe and Megaloh, as well as pop acts such as Sarah Connor, Lena Meyer-Landrut and Namika.
For seven years, percussionist Gary Wallis influenced the sound of Pink Floyd – both live and on disk. Accordingly, he will play at the Drum Camp on the original drum set he used on stage with the legendary psychedelic rock band. He also plays for the British all-star band Mike & The Mechanics.
The ‘groove monster’ is returning to the Drum Camp! The Hamburg-born came to the attention of a broader audience as Jan Delay drummer. He is also a popular drum coach and much in demand for international workshops and clinics.
Born in Mannheim, Patrick Metzger tours the whole German-speaking region as a highly regarded drum coach and, since 2013, has also been laying down the rhythm in Beatrice Egli’s band. He has also played with international artists such as Bobby Kimball, Tina Turner and Chris de Burgh.
For many years, he was a permanent member of Germany’s ‘Söhne Mannheims’ band. He was also the musical director for several tours by soul singer Xavier Naidoo. The reference list of the Heidelberg-born drummer is long and includes live and session work with national and international artists such as Gianna Nanini, Schiller and Nena.
The US drummer has been a familiar name for fans of hard sounds for many years. Will Hunt’s references range from Black Label Society, via Crossfade, Device and Skrape, to touring activities with Staind and Static X. At present, he is a permanent member of the alternative rock band Evanescence – and will be giving a performance at the Drum Camp immediately after the world tour!
