´As an international location for the creative industries, Frankfurt uses its Resources to network the industry even more intensively. For this purpose we want to make a significant contribution. Together with our partner THE ARTS+, we have developed the vision of an event, at who is interested in musicians, authors, artists, content developers, publishing-Experts and business developers, multipliers and influencers together", says Detlef Braun, Managing Director of the trade fair Frankfurt GmbH. "At the same time, we are committed to the further development of the Musikmesse and use the new synergies to bring companies in the music industry into contact with new, relevant target groups.`
´The plans of the Frankfurt Musikmesse for the years from 2021 onwards are a hopeful signal in the corona crisis, which is hitting the cultural sector and especially the music industry hard. In the 40 years of its existence, the Musikmesse has already developed into the most important fair for music in Europe. Thanks to the cooperation with THE ARTS+ of the Frankfurt Book Fair, the Musikmesse will increase its appeal even further from 2021 and, at the same time, position itself with a secure future. This close alliance is not only an important sign of solidarity in difficult times, but also a win-win situation for all concerned: after all, the entire German cultural scene with its complex value-added chains and, last but not least, the trade fair audience will benefit from strengthening Frankfurt am Main as a centre for the cultural and creative industries. We congratulate Musikmesse on this remarkable step.`
´We welcome all activities that focus on active music-making. Music and words are, by their very nature, related cultural fields, which makes cooperation all the more attractive for the public. We also welcome all events that focus on the importance of the creative industries in Germany. We are therefore very curious to see how the plans of the project partners will be implemented in Frankfurt.`
´Having the two trade fairs held at the same time is a signal for the creative industries, which have enormous innovation potential for the German economy. The possible synergies resulting from this can be exciting for the economic sectors as well as for the consumer.`
´The concentrated creative power of the creative industries in Frankfurt is a project that we are happy and passionate to support with our member associations from all eleven creative sectors: Whether it be at a superordinate specialist congress or in networking the players.`
